The Pumpkin Patch

The Pumpkin Patch is an annual mission activity at St. John’s Lutheran Church. During the month of October, hundreds of pumpkins are sold. All the proceeds are donated. A Navajo tribe receives a portion for providing the pumpkins; all other proceeds are donated to local charities. Food sold at the food tent supports the quilters of St. John’s who make quilts for Lutheran World Relief, a world-wide quilt distribution to those in need. This mission activity is “pumpkins with a purpose!” We ask that anyone visiting the patch that is not vaccinated to please wear a mask.

The Patch is back!

  • 3 – 6 pm Monday through Friday
  • 10 am – 6 pm Saturdays
  • 10 am – 6 pm Sundays

On September 23, a semi-truck loaded with pumpkins arrived at St. John’s. Thank you to all who volunteered to set up the Patch, unload pumpkins, and cover the tables. We were blessed with beautiful weather and had a successful weekend selling pumpkins.

We will continue to need help throughout October. If you would like to sign up for a shift during the month of October to sell pumpkins, please click here. We need many volunteers to staff the Pumpkin Patch.

You are encouraged to support “Pumpkins with the Purpose” and encourage your friends and neighbors to obtain their fall pumpkins at the Pumpkin Patch of St. John’s!
