About Challenge 22

Challenge 22 is an innovation award launched in 2015 by the Supreme Committee for Delivery & Legacy (SC). The award in its second cycle is organised along with our strategic partners Qatar National Research Fund (QNRF), Wamda and MIT Enterprise Forum Pan-Arab Region.

Challenge 22 unites, inspires and challenges the region’s brightest minds, providing innovative thinkers with the opportunity to have their ideas showcased in front of an audience of billions in 2022 and beyond.

Challenge 22 participants – whether the individuals or groups (of up to four people) who propose the most innovative ideas will win prizes of USD 15,000 and receive mentoring from leading scientists and researchers in the region.

Those with the very best ideas – the ones with the greatest potential to contribute to an amazing tournament in 2022 – will have the opportunity to receive up to USD 100,000 in additional funding to develop their ideas to proof of concept stage.
