THE TET TRADITIONS

Tet, the Vietnamese New Year, is the most eagerly anticipated and the most important holiday in the Vietnamese culture.  Tet brings generations both young and old together celebrating the new year fortunes with traditions passed down from ancestors.

Tet Festival Austin (TFA20) is the 22nd Annual Vietnamese New Year (Tet) Celebration presented by the Vietnamese American Communtity of Austin, Texas (VACAT) - in collaboration with other Vietnamese American based organizations - for the community to preserve and share the culture with others.  This year, we greet the year of the Rat with all day festival and many fun activities for all ages.

Many things to do and see:

Authentic Vietnamese Food, Red Envelope (Li Xi), Cultural Performances, Dragon Dances and many games/activities for kids.

We invite you to navigate through the TFA20 pages and check out some of highlights the event.  Please be part of TFA20 by signing up to participate in our event program, or to be our sponsors, vendors, and/or volunteers.
