Mad Yella

Mad Yella Thursday 21st November 2019 at Hideaway Jazz Club - efg London Jazz Festival 2019
Thursday, 21st Nov 2019

A young vibrant band of musicians with the sublimely smooth vocals of frontman Kojo and the superb backing vocals of Emmie Spence return to Hideaway as part of EFG London Jazz Festival 2019. Brought together through their love of jazz-funk, neo soul and rare groove, they write as a collective and record their music live in an analogue studio for that authentic rich warm sound.

2019 has brought about the start of their rise following the release of their inaugural track ‘Sequoia’ which was picked up by Ronnie Herel on Mi-Soul Radio as their ‘One To Watch’. Since then the band have gone on to record their next release ‘Lovin’, with both tracks now enjoying radio airplay in the UK, US, Europe and Australia.

Mad Yella have since been into the wonderful Rimshot studio in Kent working under the respected and genius production direction of Mike Thorne, recording more original music due for release in the Autumn of 2019 ahead of their inaugural album ‘YellaFever’.

Expect to hear sublime Jazz-Funk inspired grooves from the Yella’s this Autumn with a promo run commencing in September.
