Lucy-May is a singer/songwriter from London. Brought up on 60’s Motown music you can definitely hear this in her soulful vocal infused with a retro yet new country vibe. Her unique style and edgy look alongside her distinct beehive hair style sets her aside from anyone else out there. Lucy-May is an independent artist and totally self funded, holding down several jobs to make money for her music. Lucy-May released her debut album ‘Whirlwind’ in 2015, and says ‘it was pretty surreal seeing my album in HMV on the recommended shelf, the day it was released I was on my lunch break at work when I went in and I literally had butterflies in my stomach and my eyes were full of tears. I was so proud.’ Tipped by Sir Terry Wogan to be the next big UK star after her first single ‘Paper Heart’ was play-listed on BBC Radio 2.

Since then she had spot plays with her singles Whirlwind and We Got It being highly praised by d.j’s other than Wogan, such as Graham Norton, Vanessa Feltz, Ken Bruce, Jeremy Vine, Steve Wright, Simon Mayo, Janice Long, Paul O’Grady and has been interviewed by Jo Whiley, Bob Harris & Baylen Leonard. Lucy-May has just released her second album ‘Little by Little’ and again it has made the ‘Recommended’ shelf in HMV. She has just finished her very own headline tour around the UK and has done live radio sessions at BBC Radio London with Gaby Roslin, BBC Radio Manchester with Becky Want, BBC Radio Bristol with Jonathan Ray and Alex Lester and Metro Radio with Alan Robson. Her first and second singles from the new album ‘Counting the Days’ & ‘Little by Little’ have both made waves across the UK and USA on lots of regional radio stations.

Continuously gigging around the UK and even making waves Stateside. She has opened for some incredible artists such as, the legendary Michael Bolton, Robben Ford, Striking Matches, Kristian Bush of Sugarland, Larkin Poe, Ashley Monroe and Gabrielle. Performing at The Royal Albert Hall when opening for Michael Bolton is her biggest highlight so far.
