Nice N' Spiky Comedy brings the stars of the London and International comedy scene, the most in demand headliners from across the country. Award winning acts showcase their new jokes along with tried and tested comedy gold , an amazing chance to see up and coming acts before they are famous in a cosy intimate venue. Fill your evening with lots of big laughs in the lovely atmospheric Toulouse Lautrec Jazz Bar.
Doors open at 7:30pm for an 8:30pm showtime.
Carl Donnelly
Carl started performing stand-up in 2005 and quickly established himself as one of the UK’s most exciting young comedians. His conversational, silly sense of humour has seen him win a host of awards (Chortle Best Club Comedian 2017; Leicester Mercury Comedian of the Year 2007; among others) and become a regular at all of the finest comedy clubs in the UK and Ireland.
Carl has also appeared on various TV shows including Mock The Week, Dave’s One Night Stand, Stand Up for the Week, Russell Howard’s Good News and Stand Up Central, Alan Davies: As Yet Untitled, Follow The Football, Football Tonight and Comedy Store.

ESHAAN AKBAR
A winner of the Piccadilly Comedy Club New Comedian of the Year 2016, Eshaan has been in the finals of other prestigious competitions, including So You Think You’re Funny 2014 and Laughing Horse 2014. He has performed across the UK and in Germany and Bangladesh.
He has previously written for The Guardian, The Times online, The Observer New Review and The Huffington Post UK.

Sara Barron
Sara is an American writer turned standup living in London, and her debut hour show “For Worse” saw her nominated for Best Newcomer in the 2018 Edinburgh Comedy awards.
While Stateside, she wrote for Vanity Fair, published two essay collections, and earned the role of host for the hit U.S. storytelling show, The Moth.
Her work has featured most recently on The Guilty Feminist, BBC R4Xtra, and Dave Gorman’s “Modern Life is Goodish”.

Grant Busé
Grant Busé is an Australian comedian, musician based in London. His unique brand of musical comedy is enjoyed by a wide variety of audiences. His cheeky antics, clever song writing and razor sharp wit have established him as a "remarkable talent and one to watch" (Australian Stage).
Often compered to fellow Aussie Tim Minchin due to musical & comedy genius skills and been described as an energetic, uninhibited, one-man Australian version of Flight of the Conchords playing Spin the Bottle in a student flat.

Tom Deacon
With four Edinburgh solo shows under his belt, Tom has been the host of his own TV, radio and online shows on BBC2, BBC Radio1, and The Capital FM breakfast show.
He has also made guest appearances on BBC2’s The Rob Brydon Show, Dave’s One Night Stand and ITV2’s Fake Reaction.
