The First Lady of House Kym Mazelle celebrates 30 years of soulful vibes at Hideaway Streatham South London

The First Lady of House celebrates 30 years of soulful vibes with this exclusive celebration of a joyous career spanning three decades of the finest club anthems and collaborations.

With her breakthrough single ‘Taste My Love’ produced by Chicago house music legend Marshall Jefferson in 1987 Kym Mazelle confirmed her club credentials the following year with the release of ‘Useless (I Don’t Need You Now)’ and ‘Wait’ (a duet with Robert Howard from the Blow Monkeys).

1990 saw Mazelle join Soul II Soul before going on to work with Jocelyn Brown, Chaka Khan, Mick Jagger, Maceo Parker, Frankie Knuckles and more.

Her recording of ‘Young Hearts Run Free’ featured on the sound track to the Baz Luhrmann film  ‘William Shakespeare’s Romeo and Juliet’ and saw Mazelle return to the Top Twenty in the charts.

A party not to be missed for all soul fans!
