Crop Duster September 17th 2022!

THE RIDE!

The Crop Duster timed road bike ride will have a 34-mile and 57-mile routes that will weave riders throughout the fields and farms of the valley with the aim to have locals get to know the rich agricultural heritage of Montrose and the greater Uncompahgre Valley. The fundraising ride is a benefit of Valley Food Partnership, VFP, a local non-profit organization whose mission is to connect local agriculture and local people.


This fun and accessible ride is open to everyone of all ages. The 57 mile timed ride will begin in Cerise Park at 10 a.m (registration at 9am) and the 34 mile timed ride will begin in Cerise Park at 11am (registration at 10am). If you are not interested in being timed, you can start anytime from 10am on.

After Party at 1:00 PM!

Following the timed event, a "harvest after party" will begin at 1 p.m. at the Rotary Amphitheater with local food, beverages, and live music. Riders will receive a drink ticket. Sponsors receive a locally-sourced BBQ meal and 2 drink tickets. Those who do not want to participate in the ride are welcome to attend the after-party for $20. Kids under the age of 12 can attend the after-party for free.

Valley Food Partnership is excited to announce the first-of-its-kind bike ride fundraiser with a focus on connecting people to local agriculture by touring Uncompahgre Valley farmland!

IMPORTANT RIDE INFO

  • Bikers are sharing the course with vehicles and need to obey all traffic laws, including stop signs.

  • Montrose Surf and Cycle are generously providing rovers to drive the course for safety.

  • There will be signs posted throughout the course.

  • Aid station is located at Rocking W Cheese and Milk – we will have lots of local, yummy treats, sweet and salty foods, as well as beverages and water fill-up

  • The route starts counterclockwise from Cerise Park to W. Main Trailhead and then over to 6450 Rd
