Kaviani announced the release of his debut single, ‘Don’t Let The Bombs Drop, Daddy,’ on April 29th 2019.

Produced by Phil Da Costa, ‘Don’t Let The Bombs Drop, Daddy,’ is the lead single from his forthcoming EP to be released in October 2019.

Referencing influences such as Noel Gallagher’s High Flying Birds, Neil Young and Thin Lizzy, Kaviani says of his debut single, ‘I wanted to write a song when the UK & US invaded Iraq in 2003 but I had only just started to write songs then. Having seen the recent atrocities in Syria, Palestine and Ukraine to name just three countries, I felt now was the time to approach the issue and it all came out one night in this song.’

It’s been a busy time for Kaviani, who has spent the last few years as a session guitarist, touring with multi-platinum artists Joe Lynn Turner (Deep Purple/Rainbow) and Eric Martin (Mr Big) as well as touring with Damon Johnson & Ricky Warwick (Thin Lizzy/Alice Cooper/Black Star Riders).

Kaviani was also recently asked to cover for Sebastian Bach/Taylor Hawkins guitarist Brent Woods on Tara Lynch’s support tour for UFO, on their 22-date sold out farewell tour of the UK & IRL.

Now taking his skills to his own craft, Kaviani has spent time writing and recording in London and Nashville, writing with multi-platinum producers Phil Da Costa (Sir Tom Jones/Mick Fleetwood) and Pete Woodroffe (Def Leppard).

Taking influence from a range of traditional forms, Sally's narrative-driven songs exist as something both old and new as they navigate the modern world.

Distinctly old in style, these songs draw influence from folk, gypsy jazz and barroom blues. Yet, this music seems as contemporary as ever it might have done when Sally uses these influences to craft narrative songs around characters with unmistakably modern preoccupations.

Based in London, Sally grew up in a family with a love of Jazz and Blues. Initially drawn to the music of Billie Holiday, Peggy Lee and Nina Simone, she later sought out and studied a plethora of folk and world music such as Bossa Nova, Chanson and Bolero. All of these influences filter into her work without becoming a defining characteristic.

With Pianist Mark Young and Drummer Adam Williams Sally & The Soothsayers will be performing at New Moon on November 4th in support of their debut album.

"Heal Thyself Songman!" is the theme to Ger Lane's unique solo show and from which he performs some songs on Nov 11th at the Half Moon. Originating from his struggles to provide an appropriate lyric to a particularly joyous chord pattern, "Heal Thyself Songman!" is an exploration of an artist's world view and the challenges and opportunities which meet it these days. It's also an ode to the likes of Billy Bragg, Neil Young and Irish performers Paul Brady and Luka Bloom who inspired his respect for the discipline of walking on stage alone with just an instrument and possibly an ear to play to. The London based musician from Limerick, Ireland, is currently promoting his single "A Much Deeper Sigh", a minimalist meditation honouring influences such as Mark Hollis and Arvo Part. www.gerlane.com.

Lauder is a 25 year old multi-instrumental singer songwriter from London. With influences ranging from Jeff Buckley through to City and Colour, and Crosby, Stills & Nash, Lauder creates a rich eclectic sound with a soulful and emotional falsetto vocal lead and delicate guitar picking style. Following the release of his debut EP, Dates, Lauder has turned his attention back to utilising acoustic guitar with a multitude of harmonies, giving audiences the opportunity to escape naturally into the music.

Lauder’s music has been previously described as “beautiful”, “haunting” and “perfect with a glass of red wine”, so hunker down, grab yourself a drink and immerse yourself in a world of different emotions.
