    Saturday 14th & 21st October 2023

  • Pink Oktoberfest 2023

After the rip-roaring success of last year’s Pink Oktoberfest, the party returns to Between the Bridges for 2 consecutive weekends of Bavarian boozing and queer camp fun… secure Saturday 14th and 21st October in your diary!

With RuPaul’s Drag Race UK Series 5 all-star Ginger Johnson as your host… our Newcastle Queen will be gracing our screens, and gracing our stage with her GLORIOUS presence this Oktober! Delivering her trademark hilarity, vocals and a sprinkle of tasteful vulgarity, we cannot wait to be thoroughly entertained by Britain’s Booziest Trifle!

Our host will be joined by a number of leading queer drag and alt-cabaret artists, including: His Royal Hairiness, Dave The Bear, The Sisters of Shesus are back serving holy mayhem, and with even bigger bratwurst and brows…

Our 6-piece synch-pop band, Topsie Redfern and the Morning Afters, will be blowing brass like they don’t give a schnitzel (think oompah band with a fab camp twist)!

Expect plenty of German sausage, ice cold Steins, side-splitting games & raucous table dancing to queer anthems & drag. Don your best Lederhosen or Dirndl, and Schuplatter your way down to Southbank!

Our Bavarian Beer Hall is nestled between Waterloo Bridge and the London Eye, Between The Bridges is super easy to get to, right by Waterloo station. You will find all the usual Oktoberfest delights: irresistible street food, craft beer, cocktails and more VERY merry queers than you can shake a pretzel at!

We will see you on the 14th or 21st October – or as we expect, we’ll see you on both back-to-back weekends…

These tickets are hotter than a sizzling Bratwurst! Call your best beer-loving buddies, and grab your tickets while you can!

    Ginger Johnson

Host: RuPauls Drag Race UK Season 5 all-star

Newcastle’s sweetheart, Ginger Johnson, has been a fixture of the London drag and cabaret scene for longer than she cares to remember. From dive bars to dance parties, her unique brand of camp laughs and loose screws has earned her a reputation for having a big heart and an even bigger mouth.

"His Royal Hairiness" Dave the Bear

    Performer

Known in the industry as the body of burlesque, Dave The "Legend" is so sexy after watching him perform it is guaranteed that you will leave pregnant, and that's not just the ladies...

The Bear has been performing all over the world since 2009 and last year alone was nominated for a London Cabaret Award for Best Alternative Act and a British Comedy Award for his work on TV's 8 Out of 10 Cats. Oh, and winner of Peoples Choice Award at The Vienna Boylesque Festival 2015. Boom!

    CHIYO

    Performer

The Prinx of Provocation and our one and only Mr Gay England - CHIYO is one of drag's biggest trailblazers.

CHIYO's credentials go WAY beyond things that were ever comprehensible for a King to achieve. And he is only just getting started! Brother in Haus of Melaninuk Resident Artist with The Cocoa Butter Club @harpies.inc Stripper Writer Prouder of WOOF.

CHIYO blurs the boundaries between Drag, Burlesque, Sex Work, and

Activism. They carry the weight of this industry's inherent race, transphobia, and misogyny problem whilst doing so, and we are forever grateful.

    Sisters of Shesus

    Performer's

From Drag-King trio of fools, ‘Shesus & the Sisters’, Sister Pauline Hollywood and Sister Mary Berry (genuine twins) return with even bigger bratwurst and brows, ready to stuff your hot dog buns and heal you.

Having performed at The National Theatre’s Riverstage, where they were heckled with flying sushi, they have also performed at many esteemed alternative theatres including the The Tobacco Factory, Battersea Arts Centre, Arcola Theatre, The Clapham Grand and the Marlborough Theatre, as well as packing out the Playhouse Theatre Tent at Wilderness Festival two years on the trot.

The Queen is dead, Charles is King and Shesus now works for Lego. Nothing makes sense anymore. You better get on your knees bitches and start praying because these Sisters are serving unholy mayhem and they don't suffer fools (or vegetarians).
