Technology and the emergence of increasingly intergenerational, multi-tenure and mixed-use schemes present a real opportunity to reconnect and integrate them with their wider communities and to create smart home or communication solutions that not only address their specific needs but make everyone’s life easier. 

Your opportunity to tackle this global issue is at the RESI Hackathon on the 11-12 September in Wales! The hackathon is an official side event of the RESI Convention 2019.

Social network that connects the later living community with the wider community or even family members living far away 

An app that ensures later lifers will be continuously accompanied, reassured and monitored by their doctors efficiently and effectively, whether at home or on-the-go

App for intergenerational special interest groups such as book clubs, classic car enthusiasts or knitting fans

Service or support-oriented app that matches older members of the community who can offer, for example, babysitting, mentoring or tutoring services to younger members requiring those services
