FULLY BOOKED Spring Festival Celebration -APRIL 27th

In 2024 we are marking the Wheel of the Year with small Festival-style celebrations, on the weekend close to the actual date of each festival.

Unfortunately the ground remains too wet for the Ostara festival to go ahead, so instead we will celebrate Beltane, the season of creation of new life, with a festival on Saturday 27th April.

Join us for a celebration of this seasonal milestone as we acknowledge and show our gratitude for life on Earth and the precious gifts each season brings us.

Set outdoors in the meadows, there will be a choice of workshops to participate in during the morning, and repeated in the afternoon.

These will include Yoga, Circus Skills, Crafting with Natural or Repurposed Materials, Art in Nature, Wood Whittling, Jewellery Making with Reclaimed Jewellery, and Drumming.

There will also be time and space to chill out, or relax with the trees doing some Forest Bathing or Tree Hugging, and a chance just to explore the outdoors.

In the middle of the day there will be live musical performances.

There will be a Treasure Hunt where we will discover what each celebration means and how we are connected to the natural world at these special times of year, learning about our ancestors and the folklore that surrounds the seasonal celebration. There will be actual physical treasure to find besides the treasure of knowledge.

There will be great food and drinks available to buy.

Workshop leaders will be selling their crafts and services.

North East Animal Rights will also be represented.

As we share these sustainable, seasonal celebrations together, we will forge new friendships, and discover new horizons.
