Abstract Session

This year RISE for Equity will host its annual poster session with the goal of sharing your knowledge to inspire leaders in healthcare to rise to situations for advancing and directing policy, programs and institutional initiatives to expand diversity, promote equity and catalyze inclusive activities.  We invite you to take advantage of the unique opportunity and submit an abstract to be presented as a poster during RISE for Equity:  Reflect, Inspire, strengthen and & Empower 2024.

Target Audience

This course is designed for all individuals interested in advancing health equity and diversity and inclusion in healthcare. It meets the professional needs of healthcare providers, social workers, nurses, hiring managers, HR professionals, supervisors, hospital leadership and administration, healthcare educators, and diversity and inclusion practitioners.

Learning Objectives

Upon completion of this activity, participants should be able to:

  • Describe the practical strategies to implement equity, inclusion, diversity and eradicate racism actions in their own work environments. 
  • Identify strategies to integrate innovation and technology to ensure equitable and inclusive decision making within the healthcare sector. 
  • Summarize best practices to address health equity in health care.
