At Copper Beech Institute, your practice supports the practice of everyone.
Because of you and your financial support, we are able to provide over 250 hours of free programming each year, offer over $60,000 annually in scholarships to people in need, and create a community without borders for over 15,000 people, annually.
Celebrate Autumn with a weekend of Mindfulness and Compassion programming centered around the beautiful Labyrinth as you support our community’s mission to CARE! Our CARE initiative (Community Collaboration and Resilience Exchange) celebrates mindfulness and contemplative practice as a human right. Each year, we offer these free practices in our community to veterans, survivors of trauma, those in the prison system, people in recovery from addiction, educators, and the frontline professionals who support them.
Join us for fun, music, food, community practice, and the joy of sustaining our powerful mission! Your participation in our festival will send waves of compassion and awareness throughout our local and global community because as Ram Dass declared, “We are all just walking each other home.”
Register for specific days or for the entire weekend.
Our COVID Policy remains. All guests are required to either provide a vaccination card or results from a negative COVID-19 test from the past 48 hours upon arrival to in-person programs. Masks are not required while outdoors.

It's like this now. So many of our challenges can be described as wanting the present moment to be different than what it is. Humans tend to push away what is not desired as we simultaneously yearn for what we think we do not have. In this workshop, we will be using meditation, breath work and somatic tools to cultivate a deeper relationship to the present moment and we will explore a better understanding of the past and the future.
5:00-7:00 PM

In yin yoga, we hold simple poses, largely on the floor for one to ten minutes, with five minutes as the typical length; this practice promotes healthy connective tissue, helps return the body to its natural range of motion, and develops mindfulness using breath and body awareness. During this 90-minute practice, we will practice simple postures, mindfulness meditation, and self-compassion to support a sense of balance, wellbeing, and self-discovery. Suitable for all levels of experience.
Facilitated by Kai Belton
10:30 AM - 12:00 PM
The fall at Copper Beech brings with it crisp mornings, warm donuts, and fresh new energy. We warmly welcome everyone to gather with board members, donors, staff, facilitators, and practitioners from our community to kick off a new season of Copper Beech programming. Our morning will include guided mindfulness practice and a reflection by Kai Belton, entitled “Awakening Together”. We will also share local apples, cider, and warm donuts made to order by our friend Mike Rittlinger from Faddy’s Donuts.

We will explore our relationship to boundaries- how do we navigate our own boundaries and others’ with compassion? How do we find the words to compassionately communicate our limits, and how do we deal with our loved one’s reactions when they’re less than pleasant? Through guided meditation, teachings, reflection questions, and Q & A, you will leave with a better understanding of your own boundaries, how to set and maintain them, and how to manage the challenge of difficult conversations all with deep compassion for self and others.
Join us for one day or the entire weekend. Online option available!
